Sunday, MAY 24th - SUMMER FUN THEME!

Summer Beach Balls, Margaritas, and Watermelon Cookies!

2-4 pm

Come bake, decorate and take home at least 6 professional cookies with recipes per person. We've hired local professional cookie decorators wiling to share their cookie business secrets with us!

Geared primarily toward adults, this class focuses on specific PROFESSIONAL cookie decorating techniques that will require focus, dexterity, patience and fine motor skills. We practice techniques like cookie painting, lacing, flooding, shading, wet-on-wet techniques, making royal icings (thin flood icings and thicker border icings), flavored sugar cookies, and even a batch of featured drop cookies to taste!

By request, we are now permitting younger guests to come along with adults to practice these artistic techniques. Youngsters will enjoy rising to the occasion in this class to be able to produce our cookie designs in the time permitted.

Please note:  In reality, professional sugar cookie decorating takes several days per cookie with overnight drying between multiple artistic layers to acheive the polished look of a finished professional grade sugar cookie. YOUR COOKIES WILL GO HOME WET...so please plan acordingly as we cannot yield a full final result in only 2 hours' time. We CAN, however, teach you the skills and techniques needed to apply in your own home, taking the true required time to make your own professional level versions of our cookie designs. :)

ALSO please note: In order to succeed in a short time frame, we must pre-bake many of the cookies for guests to decorate as they require proper cooling time which allows the icing to set correctly. Though we will actively bake a batch of drop cookies in each class, our teaching focus is on decorating, so most of your cookie shapes will already be prepared.

Feel free to bring along your own snacks or beverages to enjoy (adult beverages ARE permitted)!
